Baby Girl Loves To Dance

Photos By Sarah Yvonne

These were taken when Cordelia was seventeen days old, and I love them because she looks like she is dancing, and baby girl loves to dance.

Pregnancy

See her post for more photos from this shoot

I have to admit that pregnancy, for me, is not fun and it does not feel pretty. I cannot reach my feet, they are huge, swollen, painful, and ugly; they resemble the humans feet in the movie Wall-e. My shoes do not fit, and I worry they wont ever fit again. I am queasy, and for the first time in my life I truly have a week stomach. My legs hurt, I cannot sleep through the night, I am always tired, I get depressed easily, and I cry a lot.

I have to admit that I was kind of hesitant to take maternity photos, I don't always enjoy having my picture taken on the best of days, and theses past couple of months have really not been my best days. However, Sarah really wanted to take them, and she was very encouraging (she's been amazingly encouraging about the beauty of pregnancy they whole time which I also appreciate), and I'm really glad I did it. Taking these photos reminded me, and looking at them helps me remember, the beauty behind what I am doing. They remind me that I am beautiful, and strong, and that I am growing a daughter who will be beautiful and strong just like me.

Windy Day

Windy days can be really beautiful, they can also be a pain when you are trying to take outfit photos.

In the end Sarah was able to snap some nice ones

Baby Room!

So we have been busy bees preparing for our baby. We finally got her room cleared, and ready to paint! This is my hubby pretending to paint :)

I couldn't really help paint, so I left, and our good friend Sarah came over to help him! She did a lot of the painting in the room, and I'm so happy and grateful she could help. She also took all of these photos for our baby book, Doesn't she take beautiful photos! Check out her blog and ogle more of her photos.

When I got back, Sarah took photos of the hubby and I (and my growing belly).

Aren't we cute together? I know I look super tired, and he looks like he is going to bounce off the walls- it's pretty normal for us these days.

This is Brendon going "Thats my baby!!!" he is so excited to be a dad. Life is great when you have a healthy growing baby, an excited expectant dad, and a great best friend.

A new dress for a wedding

This is the dress I made to wear to my Hubby's cousin's wedding, It was a beautiful wedding, and I'll post pictures from it later to show you. Sorry I have been so absent from this blog, in the mayhem of getting back in the flow of things at school I haven't had time to do anything!

So the Dress is a cotton floral print on the bottom, with pockets! and the top is a nice stretch cotton sateen so it was super comfortable . My petticoat was from here , its a nice thin lightweight petticoat for when you don't need too much fluff.

This is a close up of the necklace my Grandmother gave me; I always feel its too nice for everyday wear so I was happy for another chance to wear it.

Hair

I have always loved experimenting with my hair, and I wished I had kept a better record of the things I have done with it! This is a super old picture of me (freshman year of high school I believe) and this is my friend Patrick's favorite hair color I have done- he calls it my coka-cola hair. I'm not sure how I got it this color - but one day he and I are going to try again.

This was way different for me- my hair had been long and brown for a couple of years and my friend Bacon decided I needed a change (my husband wasn't too fond of it)

sorry for the icky picture quality- I did these red streaks using Nuclear Red by Special Effects over bleached hair- this was about two years ago

This is my pink hair from 2009 right before I started at my new school- it is Atomic Pink by Special Effects over bleached hair

My Friend Sarah Yvonne took this picture of me at my birthday party in January. Once again I bleached the section I wanted to dye and I used Manic Panic's Purple Haze, towards the bottom on the side it fades into a little bit of Special Effects Blue Velvet

Another great picture by Sarah Yvonne, I spent months as a purple girl only to realize that everything I own is purple! so I needed a change- I mixed some Cotton Candy Pink by Special Effects, with some conditioner and got this color (any conditioner is fine)

Pink wasn't different enough for me and it made me restless- I changed the shade a couple of times and then I went to this blue which I am in love with, its about 3/4 a bottle of Manic Panic's Atomic Turquoise  with a hint of Special Effects Blue Velvet (as always on pre bleached hair)

So my tip for beautiful color- leave your color in for as long as you can, I put my dye in before I go to bed, add a shower cap and sleep on it, it makes a huge difference in my color and with how long I can get it to last ;)
