Baby Room!

So we have been busy bees preparing for our baby. We finally got her room cleared, and ready to paint! This is my hubby pretending to paint :)

I couldn't really help paint, so I left, and our good friend Sarah came over to help him! She did a lot of the painting in the room, and I'm so happy and grateful she could help. She also took all of these photos for our baby book, Doesn't she take beautiful photos! Check out her blog and ogle more of her photos.

When I got back, Sarah took photos of the hubby and I (and my growing belly).

Aren't we cute together? I know I look super tired, and he looks like he is going to bounce off the walls- it's pretty normal for us these days.

This is Brendon going "Thats my baby!!!" he is so excited to be a dad. Life is great when you have a healthy growing baby, an excited expectant dad, and a great best friend.

A Place to live

The other day I went to Glen Echo with My husband and one of our friends. At Glen Echo they have these buildings that look like little hobbit homes, or large cupcakes, and I fell in love with them- when I grow up I want to live in one, I think... That's what the top picture is of, that one is a pottery studio. During the rest of the year they grow grass on the roof!

This made me think about an architect I heard about, named Friedensreich Hundertwasser- I know that's a mouth full. The other two pictures are of his buildings. He built really neat apartment buildings for low income housing, and they were all built out of stock parts, and with the idea of being green-except years before anyone else thought of things like that. Most of the apartments had trees and such growing out of the rooms! He also made each apartment look different so that people living in them would take pride in where they lived...I think he had the right idea.
