Ikea

Top and Leggings: Forever 21/ Faith 21
Tidewater flip flops
Bag: Target

My hubby and I only live about 15 minutes from our local Ikea, so we go there a lot, its one of the best places to eat a good, cheap meal. We get lazy when it comes to cooking, especially when our house is messy!  This mural (I'm not sure if thats the right thing to call it, but I'm not sure what to call it) is hanging in the food court at the Ikea and its so cute I want one.

I'm in love with the fabric they have at the moment, and I thought this sign sums up the way I want to live my life.

This is a shot of the fabric I picked up while we were there. I'm not sure what I want to do with it yet, but I couldn't leave it!

Here is some of the other cute fabrics they have (taken from the Ikea website)

Adventures with Patrick!

Skirt: My hubby made for me
Necklace, "sweater", and belt: forever 21
T-shirt: made by my nephew

So it was super hot outside so please excuse the face I'm making :) This was Tuesday's outfit and one of the coolest things about it is that I am wearing a t-shirt that my twelve year old nephew designed (ok, yes he had his mom's help) and screen printed (with supervision from his uncle/my brother who is a screen printer) he made them for his boy scout troop, and I told him I had to have one. However I cut the neck off of it because I hate the feeling of t-shirt necks.

Tuesday was super fun, I got to see one of my best friends and his good friend, neither of which I have seen in forever. We went to one of the malls that is near-ish to us, and these pictures we took while walking around in the Bass Pro Shop.

Isn't this fox pretty!

I almost died when I saw this Jack-a-lope stuffed animal, I want one sooo bad! Saturday when I go and visit my Granddad I will have to take a picture of his Jack-a-lope to show you all.

This is too perfect as well, its a stuffed mounted deer head; much less scary then the real thing.

This isn't the best picture of us, but my camera decided it was done for the night so it was the only one I got, next time I will have to get tons :)

Day of the Dead

In addition to carving soap, my mom and I made things using plaster gauze. I made this Day of the Dead Bride; she will be a present for my friend who is getting married, I hope she likes her!

A humble bar of Ivory Soap

A humble bar of ivory soap. . .

Can make super cool things.

like a cat. . .

and a hippo.

I had a day off from work, so I spent the whole day crafting with my mom; making things to enter in the county  fair. We made animals by carving Ivory soap with a razor blades,  My mom made a hippopotamus and I made a cat based off of the cats by Venice Clay. Here is my cat stalking her hippo in the soap bushes, I was pretending that they were a scene from an Animal Planet show. We spent a lot of time on our animals, but I keep thinking of other animals I can make!
