So I finally got to see Alice in Wonderland on Saturday and I fell in love with the colors that were used! Hair

I have always loved experimenting with my hair, and I wished I had kept a better record of the things I have done with it! This is a super old picture of me (freshman year of high school I believe) and this is my friend Patrick's favorite hair color I have done- he calls it my coka-cola hair. I'm not sure how I got it this color - but one day he and I are going to try again.

This was way different for me- my hair had been long and brown for a couple of years and my friend Bacon decided I needed a change (my husband wasn't too fond of it)

sorry for the icky picture quality- I did these red streaks using Nuclear Red by Special Effects over bleached hair- this was about two years ago

This is my pink hair from 2009 right before I started at my new school- it is Atomic Pink by Special Effects over bleached hair

My Friend Sarah Yvonne took this picture of me at my birthday party in January. Once again I bleached the section I wanted to dye and I used Manic Panic's Purple Haze, towards the bottom on the side it fades into a little bit of Special Effects Blue Velvet

Another great picture by Sarah Yvonne, I spent months as a purple girl only to realize that everything I own is purple! so I needed a change- I mixed some Cotton Candy Pink by Special Effects, with some conditioner and got this color (any conditioner is fine)

Pink wasn't different enough for me and it made me restless- I changed the shade a couple of times and then I went to this blue which I am in love with, its about 3/4 a bottle of Manic Panic's Atomic Turquoise  with a hint of Special Effects Blue Velvet (as always on pre bleached hair)

So my tip for beautiful color- leave your color in for as long as you can, I put my dye in before I go to bed, add a shower cap and sleep on it, it makes a huge difference in my color and with how long I can get it to last ;)

A forever day

Sweater, Dress, leggings :Forever 21
Shoes: Target
Necklace: Me
Bracelet: Martha Rotten

So, it wasn't until I left the house today that I realized that all of my clothing came from forever 21, I have to find another place to shop to add some variety, but I love the clothes! I have been trying to buy more basic plain color dresses and I loved this one from their Faith 21 collection. My flats are the "odell" flats from Target, they are so nice and comfortable and I own them in 7 colors, I highly recommend them!

My Bambi Necklace up close, this necklace make me smile so much

This is one of my many pieces from Martha Rotten, She is so amazing and I want everything that she makes, everything is big and chunky and cool, and mildly gothtastic, and she is such a sweet woman

A Happy Day

Today I wasn't feeling my happiest so I was trying to focus on happy moments of my life, and the one happy moment I kept coming back to was the day I got married. I was married on October 11th 2008, we said our vows in the same room that my parents did (except they did so 30 some odd years before us). We had a magical and homemade wedding.

This is me in my dress, which I made, I made two wedding dresses that year and the one came together so easily, and mine went terrible! but I like how it turned out. I wore my Grandmother's (Nanny's) Necklaces, which was "my borrowed".

This is the back, I wanted color in it (because all white makes me feel like a marshmallow). I wore my Grandmother's (Nana's) 1950's rhinestone hair comb in my hair (my "something old"), and one of my Grandfather's pins on my waist clincher (in the back by the laces) because they had both passed away recently and I was sad that they couldn't be there.

I loved my shoes, I had them dyed to match the fabric of my "waist clincher", to be my something blue". Getting them done was a nightmare because the shop I got them from messed them up and was very rude
(I wont mention the name but if you are in Kensington Maryland don't go to the Bridal shop that starts with a P and is located on Fawcett street, I had to enlist the Better Business bureau for help solving our differences)

Me and my dad, my dad isn't very healthy and part of me was always worried that he wouldn't live to walk me down the aisle, so this is my favorite picture. It also shows my lovely bouquet, made by my sister!

My MOH Bacon, he was amazing and wonderful, we re-invented his suit coat and he was the talk of the night (so was the fact that my MOH was a man for that matter)

We had cupcakes, oatmeal pupcakes as we call them in my house. My mom had bought a huge amount of oatmeal when we were kids only to find out that we refused to eat oatmeal, so she searched for a way to make it in a way we would eat it- to get rid of it- and she found this cupcake recipe, my brother  couldn't say cupcake tho, so he called them pupcakes, and it stuck.  My mom and sister baked and iced the 300 or so pupcakes served at the wedding, and my sister made the cake toppers as well. The cake toppers are a little girl cat, and boy pig dressed in Kimonos.

The Top picture is my my sisters and I, and the bottom is my mom (sneaking food before the ceremony) without them I never would have been able to have such a beautiful wedding, and I never would have been sane afterwards. They made invitations, did all the arrangements, made all the food, decorated, did the flowers for the wedding party, were endless sources of ideas, and worked damage control when things didn't go smoothly. I love my family so much and I am eternally thankful for their contributions.

(and I can't help but brag, my sister on the left made the outfit she is wearing, and my other sisters top, and my mom made her own dress and my sister's skirt)
