When I was a Kid

I have been thinking about my dad a lot these days. My mom was a stay at home mom, and my dad worked every day, so we didn't see him as much and work made him grumpy. However my dad had traditions with his daughters, like how he used to take us out of school to go on "daddy daughter dates" to the movies. We saw all three Star Wars movies when they were remastered and re-released in theaters, along with many other movies. We also used to go on "daddy daughter camp-outs" every year. He would take us canoeing, and bike ridding, and on long drives in which he would say "we have a full tank of gas, we aren't lost we are on an adventure". I remember at the beach one year we woke up super early and went to get hot chocolate from 7-11 and we sat on the beach and watched the sun rise, just the two of us.

I was home schooled from the middle of fifth grade until I graduated high school. There are many positives and many negatives about being home schooled, but I don't want to talk about them now, what I want to talk about is how the best part of being home schooled was going shooting with my dad.

I think my mom wrote shooting off as Physical Education, but it was so much more fun than anything I ever did in P.E. Shooting takes so much focus, that it is really relaxing, which is something that non gun people really don't understand. This is one of my targets from the first time when we went and shot 22s,  I think I was about eleven. I really appreciate the time I spent at the range with him. I am really fortunate to have my Dad, I love him very much and I hope to continue to have adventures, and outings with him for years to come.

Graduation

My Sister Graduated from college, and I am so proud of her. She has worked super hard to make it to where she is in life, and I think we should all brag about her accomplishments. Lori made great grades throughout her college career  (I think a 3.8 gpa) she works full time at a real job, and she is wonderful mom to my nephew. She does everything at 110%, she is precise and detail oriented and I love her very much.

Our other sister decorated Lori's hat with a sunflower so we could spot her. She is sitting a couple of rows from the back, and closer to the wall.

It was a VERY large graduation.

There she is walking across the stage!

The other day I drove out to meet a client! I was super excited and nervous, I think I changed four or five times before I settled on this outfit. I was meeting with her to talk about making this dress for her. I'll put up pictures of her copy of it soon I promise. I have realized that I have been neglecting my blogs as of late, and I am looking forward to updating more frequently, and I hope to read lots of comments from you guys! I need feed back :)
